The recent wildfires in Southern California have devastated communities, leaving many families displaced and facing an uncertain future. Our hearts go out to all impacted.
We understand that finding safe and affordable housing, both short and long term, can be incredibly challenging in the aftermath of a disaster. That's why we're committed to doing our part to support those affected.
Here's how we're helping:
- Creating a robust resource hub: We're compiling a comprehensive list of resources, including links to local relief organizations, financial assistance programs, and mental health support services. This resource will be a valuable tool for those navigating the transition and rebuilding process.
- Simplifying your housing search: We're aggregating all available rental inventory in the affected areas, making it easier to find a long term, or a temporary place to stay. Our user-friendly platform allows for easy searching and comparing of properties, making the process as seamless as possible.
- Advocating for fair pricing: We're closely monitoring rental prices in the affected areas to ensure there is as much affordable housing available as possible. We have reached out to any listings that appear to be priced in excess of market value to help educate on California’s Executive Order against price gouging. More information on California’s Executive Order can be found here.
- Supporting our clients: For our current clients, we're offering a range of support services including operational support with call overflow assistance and after hours support. We want to ensure that our clients have the resources they need to navigate this challenging time. For immediate assistance, please contact us at CustomerSuccess@rent.com.
We believe in the strength and resilience of the Southern California community. We are committed to doing everything we can to help you rebuild and recover.
